Also, putting lip balm on before applying lipstick helps to create a smooth and supple base for the lipstick to glide on smoothly. Using natural ingredients to personally customize a lip balm to your own like is a fun activity and it can be done with ingredients that can be found in your kitchen cabinet. I will be sharing 3 favorite recipes for DIY lip balm below.<\/p>

DIY Peppermint Oil Lip Balm<\/u><\/b><\/h4>

Ingredients:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. 1 Tablespoon of Beeswax<\/p>

2. 10 Drops of Peppermint Essential Oil<\/p>

3. 2 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil<\/p>

4. Tin Containers or Lip Balm Tubes to hold the lip balm<\/p>

Instructions:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. Heat the beeswax in a saucepan<\/p>

2. Add coconut oil ( remember to keep the stove on low heat )<\/p>

3. Stir with chopstick & wait till both are completely melted<\/p>

4. Pour the peppermint essential oil in & continue stirring for awhile<\/p>

5. Pour the mixture into your desired container & allow it to cool down<\/p>

2. DIY Grapefruit Lip Balm<\/u><\/b><\/h4>

Ingredients:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. 1 Tablespoon of Shea Butter<\/p>

2. 2 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil<\/p>

3. 1 Tablespoon of Castor Oil<\/p>

4. 1 Tablespoon of Beeswax<\/p>

5. \u00bd tablespoon of Grapefruit Essential Oil<\/p>

6. \u00bc of Teaspoon Fresh Beet Juice ( for coloring)<\/p>

7. Tin Containers or Lip Balm Tubes to hold the lip balm<\/p>

Instructions:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. Start by heating the shea butter, beeswax, coconut oil & castor oil together in a saucepan over low heat<\/p>

2. Stir it continuously with a chopstick & wait till the mixture is completely melted<\/p>

3. Remove the saucepan from the stove and add grapefruit essential oil in<\/p>

4. Mix well<\/p>

5. Add Fresh Beet Juice in by slowly mixing it a tiny bit under the desired shade is achieved<\/p>

6. Pour the mixture into your desired container & allow it to cool down<\/p>

3. DIY Vanilla Lip Balm<\/u><\/b><\/h4>

Ingredients:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. 2 Tablespoon of Beeswax<\/p>

2. 2 Tablespoon Shea Butter<\/p>

3. 1 Tablespoon of Coconut Oil<\/p>

4. 10 Drop of Vanilla Essential Oil<\/p>

5. Tin Containers or Lip Balm Tubes to hold the lip balm<\/p>

Instructions:<\/u><\/b><\/p>

1. Melt the beeswax, shea butter & coconut oil together in a saucepan over low heat<\/p>

2. Stir it continuously with a chopstick<\/p>

3. Add in the Vanilla Essential Oil<\/p>

4. Pour the mixture into your desired container & allow it to cool dow<\/p>

5. For a minty smell, add in peppermint oil \/ add cocoa butter instead of shea butter for a \u201c chocolate \u201c scent lip balm!<\/p>

Taa-Daa, you have managed to create your own DIY Lip Balm! Easy isn\u2019t it?<\/p>

*Best recommended to keep the lip balm for a maximum of 5 months once opened *<\/i><\/b><\/p>
